Random Chair from Bertjan Pot for Goods is a super-light chair made of carbon fibre. The long fibres are soaked in epoxy resin and coiled over a mould by hand. Once hardened, the construction is self-supporting.

Slats, a slatted sofa and chair designed by Bertjan Pot for NgispeN ‘which also sit comfortably’. Knitted Lamp, a design in which the knitting is ‘frozen’ in a fixed form, carbon chairs (with a skin – the exterior – which is both frame and form), spherical lamps with a translucent skin created by randomly coiling glass fibre yarns around an inflated balloon (Random Light), and Slats, a slatted sofa with a fabric skin, which gives it a different identity. Pots’ work is about material and structure, whereby the skin is the structure or offers essential added value.
